Lloyds_Register_NEWLloyd's Register, a global independent assurance provider to energy and transportation companies, aims to double its revenue from India over the next three years by doubling its staff

strength, its group chief executive said Friday.
"Ours is a people-oriented business and we will double our workforce in three years and expect to see our revenue double in that time," Richard Sadler told reporters at a press conference.
The company, which follows a July to June accounting period, reported revenue of about GBP15 million from India in the last year. Its global revenue in that period stood at about GBP860 million. It currently employs 230 people in India.
The company is currently working with clients such as Shipping Corp. of India Ltd. (523598.BY) Reliance Industries Ltd. (500325.BY) Adani Enterprises Ltd. (512599.BY), among others.
The company is also keen to work with the Indian Navy, Sadler said.
It is also looking at acquisition opportunities in India in its area of operations, he added.
