Seven vessels arrived with bulk raw materials (coal and ore) used in production at steel mills ArcelorMittal Dofasco and U.S. Steel Canada. Three ships handled steel and general cargo, two handled petroleum products and one each handled ferro manganese, liquid cargo and fertilizer.
Highlights for the week: A significant week for overseas movement with
six international vessels arriving. Cargoes arrived from Belgium,
Germany, Norway and Puerto Rico.
The MV Pochard exported steel to Portugal, while MV Whistler is loading
cargo bound for Spain. The MV Cinnamon arrived with fertilizer and will
be loading an export cargo later in the week.
The Jo Spirit made one of its regular port calls, arriving with a load of rum.
