SARS Corp., a provider of technologies dedicated to the satellite-based management of fixed and mobile assets, and its marketing partner Securewest International a leader in Maritime Security and emergency response, announced today that the Undersecretariate for Maritime Affairs has approved SARS/Securewest
Internationals LRIT Conformance Testing Services for all ships registered in Turkey.
“We are pleased to have been approved to do the testing of Turkey’s
500+ registered ships to ensure those ships meet the International
Maritime Organization Long Range Identification Tracking (LRIT)
deadline of December 31, 2008,” said Stuart Flynn, VP of Business
Development Securewest International.
“We believe that Securewest and SARS will provide the best testing
services to ship owners who are required to test their equipment to
ensure their tracking equipment is LRIT compliant,” said Chris Wain,
CEO of SARS Corp. “We have clients already signing up to begin testing.
It is our intention to have all ships tested prior to the deadline of
December 31, 2008.”
