We are writing to inform you that from 25 February 2009, the Saudi Port Authority will implement a penalty of SAR 1,000 (US$267) per TEU and SAR 1,500 (US$400) per FEU at Riyadh Dry Port for any inbound cargo which is un-palletized. The Riyadh Dry Port is run by the Saudi Railway Organization (SRO). According to the new rule, penalties imposed on un-palletized freight will be charged to either the shipper or consignee and paid to the SRO.

Please ensure your shipments to Riyadh Dry Port are always in palletized form to avoid incurring penalties.
