Japan's crude oil imports in January fell 19.0 percent from a year earlier, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) said on Friday. January domestic sales of oil products fell 9.2 percent from the same month a year earlier, despite a 0.8 percent rise in gasoline sales, which make up over a fifth of the fuel use in the world's third-
biggest oil consuming country.
