India's iron ore exports in the financial year to March are likely to be below last year's 104 million tonnes, the mines secretary told reporters on Friday.
"It may be difficult," Shantanu Consul said when asked whether iron ore
exports this year would match last year's overseas sales.
India's iron ore exports largely depend on interest from China, where
demand had slowed after a pick up sometime back, the minister said.
"The situation is tough."
