Vietnam: Government says yes to coal export

Though the group has a stockpile of over six million tons, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has only permitted it to export three million tons or less a year. The ministry has also told Vinacomin to assume full responsibility for complying with coal export regulations, developing delivery processes at domestic ports, transporting coal to Van Gia, and completing export procedures.
It wants the group to bolster its internal regulations to prevent and penalize coal smugglers.
