Baku, Fineko/abc.az. “Krasnoye Sormovo” Nizhny Novgorod’s ship-building plant (a part of MNP Group) has transferred Samur River vessel, the sixth ship of “New Armada” series out of ten tankers of “New Armada” type to be built for the customer, to Palmali Group of Companies.
The company informs that construction of the vessel started on February 29, 2008.
“The tanker’s deadweight in the sea with sediment of 4.6 m is 7,050
tons. This is 650 tons more than “Armada” (previous series) ships.
Series of New Armada tankers is continuation of series of tankers of
Project 005RST01 designed by the Odessa Maritime Engineering Bureau for
Palmali.
Compared to Armada series the new project tankers have strengthened sea
function, deadweight increased by 650 tons (carrying capacity) under
sea conditions and high capacity of cargo tanks.
The vessels conform fully to new international requirements. When
engineering them the Bureau took into account the requirements of
Russian and world oil companies and additional ecological restrictions
of Russian Maritime Shipping Register. The New Armada vessels were
awarded extra mark – Eco Project.
Currently the company implements carriages on internal waterways of
Russia in Black, Caspian, Mediterranean and Baltic Seas by ships with
deadweight of up to 10,000 tons. Ships with more tonnage transport
goods to the North America, Western Europe, South-East Asia and Far
East.
