Sakhalin Shipping Company OJSC (SASCO) bought a 1995 container-carrier of 4.805 thou tons dwt for regular container lines operation of the shipping company, stated Egor Vagin, Deputy CEO of the company. ‘The container-carrier built in 1995 named Zeya will be the newest in the company’s fleet’, RIA Novosti sited Vagin.
‘It is the third vessel bought by the shipping company this year. The
first one was procured in March, second – in June, and a day before the
company-shipowner took delivery of a container-carrier of 4.805 thou
tons dwt in the German port Flensburg. It is planned to be used for
operation in regular container lines linking ports of Vanino and
Vladivostok to Sakhalin, Kamchatka and Magadan,’ Vagin stated.
It is necessary to remind that in 2008 Sakhalin Shipping Company OJSC
announced its plans of fleet renewal. As per Alexandr Matsuk, CEO of
the company, the shipping company has elaborated a three-year program
of fleet renewal under which it is planned to invest company’s funds
and attract credit resources of Sberbank.
