NYK Line will be implementing a general rate increase in its trans-Atlantic services from the U.S. and Canada to and from all locations in Western Europe as of March 1, the carrier told customers this week.
NYK's move follows similar increases announced in the last month by Mediterranean Shipping Co., Hanjin and Hamburg Sud.
NYK said it will boost rates on March 1 by $200 per 20-foot container and $400 per 40-foot container.
It
said the increases will apply to cargo in all equipment size and types
under NYK Line independent tariffs and service contracts.
