South Korea's Hyundai Steel, the country's No.2 steelmaker, said on Wednesday it would raise prices of its major steel products by 6 percent from July 18. The rise comes after the country's largest steelmaker POSCO said earlier this month it would raise prices of its benchmark steel products by 6 percent from July.
Hyundai Steel said in a statement it would raise its hot-rolled steel
prices to 900,000 won per tonne from 850,000 won, while prices of plates
would rise to 950,000 won from 900,000 won.
