Reconstruction of the first phase of the sea border crossing point at Tuapse port has been completed, Rosgranitsa (Federal Agency for Arrangement of Russian Federation Border) statement said.
The Coordinating Board of Tuapse checkpoint decided to initiate an
interdepartmental commission to verify compliance of the port’s dry bulk
terminal with all necessary standards and requirements for buildings
and structures’ technical equipment necessary for the organization of
border, customs and other procedures in connection to completion of this
object renovation.
Tuapse dry bulk terminal is the first phase of reconstruction of the sea
border crossing point for control of passing cargo via the port of
Tuapse. Renovation of the border and custom control point’s facilities
will be carried out in a few phases.
According to the Board there has been a modern complex of buildings for the state supervising authorities.
The dry bulk cargo terminal, which is to be included in the border
crossing point complex, is located within the boundaries of the port of
Tuapse. The terminal was designed for handling annually 2.3 million tons
of exported mineral fertilizers.
