Mercator Lines issues 27.78 mn warrants

Mercator Lines which is engaged in shipping and related activities today said that it has issued 27.78 million warrants carrying a right to subscribe to equal number of equity shares of Re 1 each of the company on preferential basis, to the promoters / entity(ies) controlled by or related to them; and Non- promoter directors and entity(ies) controlled by or related to them.
The decision was taken by the board of directors of the company at its meeting held on Sep. 30, 2010.
Shares of the company gained Rs 0.15, or 0.27%, to trade at Rs 56.75. The total volume of shares traded was 666,056 at the BSE (12.57 p.m., Thursday).
